Relevance Test or Relevancy Test

I’m taking a little survey. When one is evaluating search results, is that called a relevance test or a relevancy test?

  1. Around here we call it a “Test to see if the user is really getting what they want to see test” We find that this adds clarity that is missing from the terms “Relevance” and “Relevancy”.

  2. I say both are fine. Depends on how fond of using the letter “Y” you are. I suppose you could say that if the subject of your test is relevance, then it is a relevance test, and if the subject of the test is a particular thing, and you want to know its relevance in relation to various other things, that would be a relevancy test of said thing. I’d say they’re really the same, though, because you could kind of reverse that argument.
